As a new client of Healthy Pet Hospital and Grooming in Orange, you can expect our full attention to your pet’s needs.

When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly. We will check you in and review all requests and services that are needed for your pet. After check in with reception, a staff member will assist you.

For pets being checked in for veterinary service, one of our veterinary assistants/technicians will escort you and your pet in to an exam room. They will start by asking about your pet’s medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor. Your pet’s weight and temperature may be taken at this time.

Then, one of our veterinarians will examine your pet, ask you further questions and then may recommend diagnostic tests if needed. Once the tests have been run, which can usually be done in the practice, your doctor will discuss a possible diagnosis and treatment plan if warranted.

This is a great time to ask questions. Our veterinary team wants to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the information we’re providing.

Our veterinary technician will likely come back to wrap things up and will provide you with helpful pet care information and answer wellness and care questions for you. Our front desk staff will process your payment and schedule any needed follow up.

Please note: Our goal is to see all our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays. We will ensure these are minimized as much as possible.

For pet’s being checked in for Grooming, our Grooming Manager will check in your pet. They will ask you for any specific grooming instructions to ensure your pet gets the exact service that you are requesting. There are many styles of haircuts to choose from. If you are unsure about the style you want, we suggest you bring in a photo, or we can help give some helpful suggestions. Once your pet is taken back, the grooming staff will call you to notify you as soon as your pet is ready to be picked up.

For pet’s coming in to board with us, our Kennel Attendants will check in your pet after you have signed the boarding form with receptionists. The Kennel Attendant will then review how your pet is doing and if there is anything specific we need to know or do to help make your pets stay with us a happy and comfortable one. We ask that boarding pets be dropped off and picked up 1 hour after we open or 1 hour prior to closing.This will allow for a timely check in and check out.
