Dr. Makar is a graduate of Cairo University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and has trained at Purdue University and Oklahoma State University. He has owned and operated several reputable veterinary hospitals in Orange County and the Inland Empire dedicated to caring for all types of pets – dogs, cats, birds, rodents, reptiles, and the exotics.

His special interest is orthopedic surgery. Dr. Makar and his wife are the proud parents of two children and two cats, Napkin and Vanilla. His hobbies include travel, soccer and reading history books. Dr. Makar is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).

Dr. Janie Guirguis was born and raised in Southern California. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Animal Science with a minor in Chemistry from California Polytechnic University, Pomona. She then went on to receive her Doctor of
Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences in 2008. She has practiced at multiple veterinary hospitals in Southern California, but after practicing at another clinic for a few months, came back to Healthy Pet Hospital, and has been here since 2019. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but particularly enjoys soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and internal medicine. She is a member of the AVMA, CVMA, and is a USDA accredited veterinarian.  When not at work, she enjoys running, watching and playing soccer, baking, crocheting, making jewelry, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and Basset Hound named Abraham. She also has a salt
water aquarium and a box turtle.

Autumn Lindsay is our hospital manager at Healthy Pet Hospital. She has been in the veterinarian field for 25 years and had her license since 2008. Patient care is her passion and her goals are to provide an environment that cares for pets, people, and her staff team. Autumn spends her weekends at the river in Arizona for rest and relaxation, but her family is her pride. She is a mother of 2 grown boys + “Noni” one granddaughter but her fur kids are two crazy brothers Finn and Phoebe. She also has Oskar the 5-year-old Desert Tortoise. 

Jasmine Austin is one of our Customer Service Representative at Healthy Pet Hospital. She is Texas girl born and raised. She has her BA in Business and on her free time she coaches volleyball on the side. On her free time, she reads, plays volleyball, and goes on hikes. Jasmine comes home to an adorable fur child named Brownie. 

Michele is our lead Customer Service Representative and has been with us since 2020. She has always had a passion for animals. At home, she has a Chiweenie named Cannoli and a standard dachshund named Deano who mean the world to her. In her free time, Michele loves to cook, work on puzzles and legos, and watch movies with her amazing husband and their charming son.

Elsi Valdez is a Customer Service Representative at Healthy Pet Hospital & Grooming. She is from Anaheim and currently resides there. She began working with pets because she feels they deserve the best that can be provided to them. Animals are so loving and caring and feels they need to be appreciated more. She sees animals as her own. Her furry family includes a Chihuahua mix named Rain, a Pitbull mix named Ivy, a Pitbull named and Jinx and a Pitbull named Bane (RIP). Her interests include animals, outdoors, hiking, and fresh air. She enjoys Pokemon, video games, board games, hiking, crafting, Disneyland, and long walks with loved ones.

Dennis has been our lead veterinary technician since 2021 and obtained his controlled drug license in 2022. He has been in the field since 2003 after he left the culinary industry. Dennis was born and raised in SoCal - he grew up in Rowland Heights before moving to Orange County. He grew up surrounded by animals and has owned 3 breeds of chickens, as well as ducks, geese, assorted pocket pets, cats, and dogs. Dennis has been a diehard LA Kings fan since 1987. He played hockey in his youth and picked up tournament paintball in 2002. He is an avid gamer, a huge Star Wars nerd, and a Disney dad.

Guido is a Registered Veterinary Technician at Healthy Pet Hospital and Grooming. He lives in Santa Ana. He started working with pets and he thought it was interesting.At the hospital he does pet dental cleanings, x-rays, assists doctors in surgery, and other medical care. He also does the product ordering to keep the hospital stocked with all supplies needed. His pets include Noodle, Cheddar, and Dora. He enjoys the gym, his car, his motorcycle, going out to eat and resting.

Sonia Moreno is one of our Veterinarian Technician at Healthy Pet Hospital. Unfortunately, Sonia is leaving our hospital to go to Kansas State University for vet school. She currently has a Dogo Argentino named Arlo but is hoping to get more animals like frogs and a cat.

Bri is a technician who has been at HPH since 2020. She has also worked in specialty hospitals such as emergency and neurology. She is currently in school to become an RVT. Bri has a bachelor’s in Recreation and Leisure Studies from CSULB. She is married and has a son, and they have a beagle/basset hound mix and a cat. They love to go to theme parks such as Disneyland, Knott’s, and Universal together. Bri spends her free time surfing, rock climbing, and doing escape rooms with her friends.

Heather Vest has worked at Yucaipa Animal Hospital since July of 2016. She graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2016. Heather is a proud mom of a Chihuahua names Kahlua, a German Shepard named Rocky, a cat named Gat, a dove and a tortoise. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, crafting, and spoiling her pets.

Hany Soliman is one of our Surgery Technician at Healthy Pet Hospital. He graduated as a Veterinarian Doctor in Egypt in 1980. He has worked for 25 years as a Vet for large animals. Hany has two cats named Simba and Messi.

Tiffany Barrera is one of our Kennel Attendant at Healthy Pet Hospital. She is currently going to Mt. Sac community college to become an RVT. She enjoys playing soccer, dancing, and being outdoors. Tiffany has two fur babies, Losito and Simba both poodle mixes. She is a huge fan of Disney and she collects Loungefly Disney backpacks.
